Certification & Standards Guide

Understand every code in your specification on one page: which standard tests what, and what each class means.

A First in Türkiye

IFCC Accreditation to UL/ANSI Standards

Doorsmar is the first and only Turkish wooden door manufacturer accredited by IFCC to UL/ANSI standards. That means certified, locally manufactured delivery on international projects that specify US standards.

UL UL10c

The US positive-pressure fire test, replicating real fire conditions. A staple of Middle East and global hotel chain specifications.

EN EN 1634-1

The European fire resistance test using the ISO 834 standard fire curve. Turkish fire regulations reference this scope.

BS BS-476

The British fire test standard, required on UK and Gulf projects.

EN EN 13501-2

The European classification standard that converts test data into E / EI / EW classes.

EN EN 1634-3

Smoke control (S class) testing; leakage measured at ambient and/or 200°C.

ISO ISO 9001

Quality management system covering all our production processes.

Minutes and Letters: Reading Ratings Right

A rating like "EI90" carries two facts: the letters give the performance type, the number gives the duration in minutes.

ClassNameWhat Is Tested?Typical Use
EIntegrityPrevention of flame and hot gas passageEscape corridor doors
EIIntegrity + InsulationPlus surface temperature limits: mean ≤140°C, point ≤180°CFire compartment doors
EWIntegrity + RadiationHeat radiation on unexposed face ≤15 kW/m²Spaces adjoining escape routes
S / Sa / S200Smoke ControlSmoke leakage rate (EN 1634-3)Hospital, hotel corridors
30 / 60 / 90 / 120Duration (minutes)Time the criterion is maintained under testRegulatory requirement per space

Our tests are carried out at TSE and Efectis laboratories. Cat A / Cat B in reports refers to direct application vs. the +15% extended field of application. For model-level lists see the DMSteel test tables and the DMWOOD Efectis report (EEA-26-161).

After Sales

Periodic Fire Door Inspections

Our FDIS-certified engineers inspect, maintain and test fire rated doors in high-traffic buildings, delivering comprehensive reports. A fire door must stay as safe as the day it was installed.

  • Leaf-to-frame gap and seal integrity checks
  • Closer speed/force adjustment and panic hardware function tests
  • Label and certification traceability
  • Findings report + repair plan
